Guest Anonymous
In the 74 02 I just purchased there is an ignition switch installed on the left side of the steering column. I don't have a key to the original ignition which is still in place or the doors or trunck. My questions are: 1. Why would someone add the second ignition? Keys lost 2.How to get keys that fit original ignition and doors and trunck. Does one key typically fit all of these? 3. I saw on ebay a ignition and two door locks all keyed the same . What is this worth? Thanks. I am the idiot that bought the o2 in Dallas on ebay even though the owner wouldn't answer any of my question. You'll probably be hearing more from me. Guest Anonymous
any lock smith can make you the keys, about why two no idea. I had all mine rekeyed for just one key, and one for the gas cap.
Guest Anonymous
some new cars with an inside trunk release have a separate "valet" ignition key (that won't open the trunk) and a separately keyed lock on the interior trunk release - to keep prying eyes and sticky fingers out of the trunk if you have to leave the ignition key with an attendent in a parking garage or valet parking situation (like I'm going to let some hormone-poisioned 18 year old attendent try for fast time of the day up the parking garage ramps in my '02 anyhow!).
