Oh NOO! how could this happen?

I was changing the valve cover stems, the stem slipped out of my finger and slid into the hole. I fished for it with a magnet but then it dropped all the way through!!!!!!

What do i have to do leave it or do i have to take apart the whole thing to get it out? Can i leave it in ?

Valve stem cover? As in, lash pad???

At any rate, you can leave it. I've had lash pads go down the drain holes with no

problems at all. They sit in the drain tray, and maybe eventually slide down

into the pan. The only place they can do harm is in the chain- and since

it's already in the drainback hole, you're fine.

Annoying, yes, but not dangerous for the motor.
