9 Grenzen and the Silicon Garage update from Mark

Recommended Posts

I need to start out by apologizing to everyone. When I first started 9Grenzen to follow Curt Ingraham and the Silicon garage legacy I had full intention on helping everyone out that needed a Radiator. But as many of you know over the last several months I have been hard to get a hold of. I can no longer keep putting people off with promises I hear from the Copper supplier. I have been told by them 2 more weeks. But I have been hearing that for the last 3-4 Months. I Realize I have left a few people hanging in the dark and for that I am sorry. i had to step away from this for a while the B.S. I was getting from the supplier was killing me but I am back to clean up the mess I left. The current state of the economy has finally got me and have Finally secured myself a real full time job the is taking 50-60 hours a week. So as of now I am no longer making Radiators or selling parts. This my change in the Future but no telling. Please contact me through my email 9grenzen@gmail.com or phone 510-507-2002

Ben,

I got a text from Mark tonight about my radiator. I mentioned your radiator and he said he's going to try to get our radiators/the others he needs for those who were waiting.

He mentioned he was out town doing school/testing for his new job/career (since supplies dried up for the radiator business), but would be back this weekend to TCB.

I hope/I'm sure he makes things right with you and others!

Mark has the original radiator from the F Bomb, too. I fully understand having to deal with major life changes. Some good, some bad. I have no worries about his integrity, or the return of my radiator. I wish him the very best!

Now...to find a good shop to perform the re-core once I get it back.

Suggestions?

Mark did the 3-row recore in the radiator in my 3.0CSi and I love it. Had sent him money to hold the price of a recore for the tii, but was waiting for winter to pull the radiator. I'm sure he'll sort it out.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
