lower trailing arm

Is it possible to lower just one side of the trailing arm, have some repairs to to, working in a small garage so car is tight up against the wall on the other side. limited space

The main axle with the brake hub, need to get to the mounting point just inside by the rear arch

I see.

You will have to drop both sides at once.. You could support the assembly in the center with a floor jack and knock the big mount bolts out, up into the car.. This will allow you to lift it all back up into to car rather easily, so you can move it around.

Don't lower the assembly too far though, there are brake lines and shocks in play.

But only about half an inch (12mm) before it binds up.
