E12 Cylinder Head...

Hey there guys... Looking for an E12 Cylinder head that has been reconditioned. Mine is burning tons of oil on the overrun and it seems hard to find a nice E12 head for under 500 dollars.

I came across this company, but can't find any information or reviews on them so I'm not sure I want to bite the bullet. The 3 year warranty is nice though, and the price is great so long as everything is done correctly.

Let me know. I am in the New York City area.

I have a '74 standard E12 head(has fuel pump rod hole). Very clean. Not warped(machinist flat edge shows no light all across). Minimal water jacket corrosion, with plenty of gasket surface left. Valves look good, but can't guarantee guides and seals good. Looks like BMW 264 cam. No cam gear, but everything else, including front cover, and dist housing. No visible cracks in combustion chambers. No broken rockers or shafts. Measures 128.64 at the dist end just above #4 plug. Not leak tested, but can have done for $50. Just a light surface skim for good gasket setting, and maybe new valve grind, you should be good to go. Asking $350, plus ship.

I'm located in NorCal.

Pics if interested.

I'm interested, but for that kind of money with no valve guide condition guarantee I can get one for cheaper and pay to have it rebuilt. I really need something that is tested and proven to not burn oil. I don't mind installing cam/rockers, but I need to have good valve seals and guides to make this worth my time.

I have another one. Also E12 '74. Brand new valve job, sitting on the shelf. Nice and shiny. Tested, obviously. Media blasted. Unassembled. All the components, including good surfaced valves, tight guides, and new seals. Std 264 cam, or 292 regrind. All rockers and shafts in good condition. Std springs. No cam gear, or dizzy housing, but has front cam cover done same time with head.

This was my back-up to a rebuild.

Make me an offer.
