The production of these wind deflectors has been anything but simple.

So far the deflector fins have been cut and polished for 4 complete wind deflectors.

The hinges were made from billet aluminum and take about 5 hours a pair for the machine to cut, This is because the machine must cut fine details slowly. Original L repro R

Looks like we will be able to sell them for $425.00 which will include springs, hinges, plastic guides, and the L R and center deflector parts. You will need to instal these parts to the base parts that is part of your existing sunroof.

Who is in? I would like to make 25 sets.

Hi,

They look great - one recommendation is to provide component parts with individual prices if that is possible. Several folks may have partial deflectors or simply ones that have broken and in need of some pieces. Not sure if that is possible/practical for you.

I'd also post on the classic Porsche sites since I understand it's the same system and thus you widen your target customers (compatibility should be confirmed).

Best of luck, again, they look great!

Cheers,

~jason

same, as both my 02s have deflectors from junkyard Porsche 911s...but I think they were only fitted on Porsches up to about 1977-78--a

Porsche message board or parts book should confirm the model years they were fitted.

cheers

Thank you for the feedback. I posted on the classic 911s board, one must register to post on the 912 board, and evidently owna 912 to register.

As far as component parts go, I am planning to create complete sets. The pieces most desired (hinges and plastic guides) are precision machined and are the most expensive parts of the kit.
