Whew, dodged a bullet today

Went to a moving sale today and there was a '59, 19' Chris Craft. One look and my eyes are rolling in different directions. This has been a Lake Tahoe boat all it's life, was professionally restored 15 yrs ago, but that is light years ago for one of these boats. Hard to walk away from, but I did it. It needs a lot of help at this point. You always think of what they "will look like", not what they "do look like".

Jack,

Those are simply gorgeous boats; as a kid, in the middle/late 60's, our family would go to our uncle's cottage on Conesus Lake, both sides of the families had a big gathering a few Sunday's each summer; the older kids and adults would water ski on the ChrisCraft, beautiful mahogony wood I believe and the inboard motor would just purr; great memories of those days; the Chris Craft was sold probably 20 years ago or so

I don't know much about such boats, but

Timmer: have you ever gone to Vintage at Saratoga? I am thinking of going to it in 2013. I'd probably be driving right past you en route.

Jim,

I don't know about Vintage at Saratoga in 2013; I've been out of work since March, cutbacks from our dept with the U of R; nothing has come up in my search since, been thinking of getting out of NY all in all.

On boats Jim, vintage Chris Crafts are among the most beautifully made

Tim
