Guest Anonymous
I'm having problems with my brakes. Moderate braking works fine, but I can press the pedal to the end of its travel, and am clearly not getting the full stopping power. It does not seem like the classic master cylinder problem where the brakes work fine, but if you leave your foot on the pedal it will slowly sink to the floor (I could be wrong). In addition, during hard (or at least as hard as the pedal travel will allow) braking the car pulls to the left, with a slight scraping noise from the front left of the car. The front pads were just replaced, the rear brake lines were replaced, and the fluid was replaced. What are the likely causes of this problem? Guest Anonymous
With the engine running, pumping the brakes quickly does not seem to firm up the pedal. However, with the engine off, pumping the pedal does firm it up.
