Is there a secret to getting the blue brake fluid hoses onto the nipples on the reservoir and brake booster? I can't get them on more than a fraction of an inch.

Thanks!

Brake system grease!

The kind you use when rebuilding calipers. NOT the kind you put on the bolts

on the outside.

It's hard to find- Pegaus carries it, and Autosport Seattle usually had it.

Assembly lube works, too, but not nearly as well.

All of the above works and I sometimes put a pair of needle nose pliers in the hole and stretch the hose just a bit.

put a little silicone grease on the end of a tapered punch, slide it into the hose end about 1--15mm, and let it sit that way for a few minutes. Then warm it up with a little hairdryer heat and quickly slip it onto the plastic nipple.

More difficult-getting the nipple into its rubber grommet on the M/C.

cheers and happy stretching
