Guest Anonymous
If I have a donor parts car with a clean rear end (the rest is pretty cancerous) and my otherwise clean car with a bondo-bum, where would you suggest I chop the tail off the donor to install on the other? Guest Anonymous
need the trunk floor as well? If it's just the rear tail end I would cut at the seams.
Guest Anonymous
I think I only really need the portion between the seams, but I guess it then becomes a question of welding it back together - probably will have to ask a pro to do it. Any ideas on what to cut the whole thing off with?

Guest Anonymous
or so from the corner seam--then you can carefully separate the spot weld between quarter panel and rear panel. Conversely on the receipient car, cut the rear panel an inch or so from the seam so you'll be able to perserve the welding "lip" on the quarter panel.
