I put in the five speed and am sure that I got one with bad second gear synchros and worn and humming bearings. But what seems to be something I can do something about is where the clutch engages. Mine engages right at the top of the pedals travel. I am hesitant to adjust the pushrod length on the master side because I am happy with the freeplay in the pedal. I dont want the clutch to ride itself and prematurely wear out. Feedback is apreciated.

My clutch engages with the pedal very close to the floor. I have bled the slave cylinder a gazillion times to no avail. I suspect that the pivot pin is the culprit, but I will not know until I take down the tranny (input shaft bearing is grumbling) to replace it with my spare one (after I put new seals on it).

Regards,

Harry
