Ive been looking at suspension stuff for a while and it seems that it would be cheaper to go with coilovers in front rather than getting new springs and inserts. There has got to be something that i am missing. Any help is greatly appreciated

It will cost you more than springs and inserts. Coilovers are essentially the same thing you have now only they will be adjustable for ride height and (if you choose) camber/caster. You basically replace the strut housing (or modify your own) to accept a 2 1/2" diameter spring. The strut insert is installed the same. The upper strut bearing has to be replaced as well and you can use fixed ones or adjustable. Most people use the adjustable version.

In addition to the cost of springs and shocks, add the cost to modify your struts (or the cost of new modified struts), upper perches, and spring holders.

Good Luck,
