Got the biggest part of an engine transplant from a totalled '75 done today, including a 320 5 speed from Pick & Pull. The Volvo 240 cross-flow radiator I've been dinking around with for weeks is in (still need to fit hoses), and the 325is battery harness is run as far as the back seat. Now all that's left is to untangle the wiring in the engine compartment, hook up fuel and battery and find out how well the engine runs. Then it's on to installing all the bits for the big brake conversion, finding one more 15x6 VW BBS wheel and coughing up the $$ for a driveshaft and tires and it'll be back on the road!!!

car - amazingly, in the course of pulling up carpets and disassembling part of the interior to get at the tunnel, the only damage that's turned up is surface rust on the inside of the pedal box (other than rust holes in the rockers from the sunroof drains). The carpets haven't even disintegrated while pulling them up from where they're glued down - I may just clean & dye 'em and put 'em back for now....
