Front Strut Spacers for North America...

I've seen photos of these 1" thick spacers on TOP of the body/fender (over the strut bearing). Mine were UNDER the body/fender before I removed them. These were originally intended to move the nose of the car (up or down?!) so that headlights would be aimed properly in North America.

Question: if I want to LOWER the front end where would I mount them?

is a good thing. Sort of like a giant washer. I agree that this looks tacky.

Don't make the mistake that I made if you replace your strut bearings... I thought, why should I get the long stud version when I no longer need the spacer. So, I got the short studs- now I can't mount my Ireland Eng. strut brace.
