Guest Anonymous
URL: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/02s_online/poll/victor_in_pr.jpg Hi all, I took my youngest son to Summer Camp this morning in the '02. After I left him, I noticed that the rear seatbelt mechanism was not in the "rewinded" position if you will. I yanked it several times but no luck. Any clues before I set off to remove the rear bench to check it out? TIA Victor '74 '02A '76 '
Guest Anonymous
there's a good chance the internal retracting spring is either broken or has slipped from its mount. Either way, it's a PITA to fix...easier to get an operating one from a parts car. All from mid-72 on (when front inertia reels were first installed)will work. Hope it's just twisted...
