32/36 idle jet question--cutoff solenoid?

I recently ordered some weber jets from the FAQ store for my 32/36. The new idle jet on the secondary side is too fat for the jet holder or the hole, and on the primary side I have a cutoff solenoid where the idle jet should be, has anyone else encountered this?

I think it's a fairly old carb. It runs much better already with the new mains and air jets!!!

Thanks,

Will

which are different than the idle jets for the 6mm hole. The earlier 32/36 have 6mm holes for both jets. If do away with the cut off solenoid you'll need an 8mm idle jet holder too.

around 1000 rpm or so (as with A/C) as it does prevent dieseling (run-on). My car idles very poorly between about 600 (too low for the A/C) and 800 rpm, so have to set it high for smoothness. Without the solenoid, it diesels.

Cheers

Mike
