I have been doing some rust repair and lookingf or some suggestions on a specific area. Ok inside the trunk behind the trm is a dip that runs all the way around and there is surface area all around as well. What I was wondering is what tool would be best to get in there? Wire wheel on a highs peed drill?

Thanks,

JOhn

I saved an otherwise perfect trunk lid that had rust on that lip by taking it to a shop and having the lip sandblasted. If you do that, mask off all the openings that lead to the spaces under the inner bracing--otherwise you'll be cleaning sand out forever!

Cheers

Yes, I am still working on a group discount, it will take a bit of time.

You can order by phone @ 1-800-wurthusa.

I am hoping to get web access for orders for club members only. (i.e. BMW CCA, Porsche...etc)

I will post with progress.

A lot of people go here. It's very quick, anything but labor intensive, and not expensive. I just returned from there with a media blasted stock exhaust manifold heat shield and water inlet/outlet neck. Price was $10. I've had cam covers, timing covers, and my Minilites done there (the wheels were done both sides for $25 each). Visit once and you'll visit often. They are located just south of 16 Mile/Metro Parkway/Big Beaver (for non-Michiganians this is an actual street name) on Groesbeck in Clinton Township. Hours are long, usually 7:30 am to 5:00 pm with short Saturday hours as well, usually 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. They have various grades of media to avoid etching if this is desired. Again, very nice people.

Thanks mike. I didn't consider them cause a few years back I got a high qoute over the phone sounds like they have come down or it was teh size of the wheel?

I am glad I found a cheap way to do this or else the whole car would be turning composite heh..

Well, I hope they aren't too bad. My Minilites are 13X6 and came out nicely. The place is always neat to look around - everything and anything comes and goes through that shop. My admittedly tiny requests of Strip It have been processed on the spot and for little cash. I hope I'm not wrong! Regards...
