Has anyone ever recovered or done custom door panels?

It's an idea I have rattling around in my head to better tie my seats to the new black car.

I have its fairly easy depending how far you want to go. Just use foam under the vynal or leather or you will have many imperfections of the panel show through. Also if you can't find stapples short enough for the thickness of the panel use a good brush on glue that the interior shops use.

Heres some price ranges to see what your looking at

1/8" or 1/4" thick foam 6.00 yard (60" w x 3 feet)

Black Vynal 5.00 - 10.00 yard

Quart of professinal glue 5.00

nothing to bad on the wallet,

are you talking the finished side? I bought Aardvarks re-build panels and they came with 1/4" masonite. If I was doing it again I'd use lighter material. I put a pretty heavy closed cell foam on mine. I got the plastic clips for a honda door. They are longer than those for the '02's. I was thinking of cutting some ss or Aluminum to replace the plastic chrome on my doors but...pretty far down the list right now.
