I'd like to use the angle-iron technique and bridge the gap between the old rear mount platform and the one for the center bearing. The FAQ mentions having to cut a tab and bend the angle-iron to align.

This seems like it would destroy the reason for using angle iron. Can anyone comment on whether the two mounts are in the same plane?

the cutting and bending idea was just an idea... really if you wanted to be THE most anal about it, youd cut, bend, then weld the end pieces to the new, angled positions. For me, I just bolted them up and let whatever would bend to fit, bend. works great! i terrorize the hell out of my car when its actually running (grins)... and so far, so good! :)
