I tried to search around, but not getting a definitive answer. Has anyone made a removable front clip? Seems like it would be really useful and I would love to do it prior to putting any color on my car.

I'm not for certain. But remeber a flat Ceylon w turbo flares on here with a removable front clip. I'm sure it had 17" wheels too. Try searching using the info I gave you to find the project blog, holiday cheer (drinks) got me to hammered to find the link. Happy thanks giving!

Jenn's will unbolt. Well, from the fenders.

Then you have to cut a lot of spot welds.

But there won't be any repainting necessary.

The race car's held on with a metric butt- ton of

steel pop- rivets. Painting would be necessary, but

multiple noses could be changed without much sheet metal work.

Truly removable would be hard- the nose adds dimensional stability

to both the inner fenders and the front 'frame' structures,

and the attachments are meant to be welded. You could adapt

them to fasteners, but it would be a LOT of work. Once.

Then it would be 15 minutes to pull the nose panel.

Here are some photos of my removable nose panel. Note the heavy brace across the bottom connecting the frame rails. There is also a tie rod, not shown, across the top just behind the radiator. Fenders must be removed to take the nose off. Probably about 30-40 minutes total.

do you have a photobucket account? It takes all of 30 seconds to sign up and start uploading pics. Then you can post the link to them.
