So in my attempt to strip my manifold of all the bolts, in order to prep it for paint, the nipple in the side here decided to break off on me =( how the hell would i fix that? I know i would have to back it our of there but obviously it does not want to budge, I loaded it up with PB blaster before even attempting to remove it.

its the piece pictured here (still attached) on the left intake, on the upper side near the back.

Also the other big nut on the end of the manifold doesn't want to come out either. Any suggestions??

I have removed many stuck screws and other threaded items with simple screw extractors. I would first apply liberal heat to the casting around the broken piece, not to hot to melt things but hot enough to expand it a bit and break the pieces loose, then slowly... real slow start with the screw extractor. Also don't break the extractor off inside... they are tempered and are nearly impossible to get out.. ask me how i know. Good luck and have patience, it will come out.

If you plan on running a water choked carb then you're screwed. But if you have a carb with an electric choke then you're fine. Just fill it with JB Weld and let it harden. Also remember to seal off the coolant nipple on the block, too. You can try to drill it out gently, but with 30+ years of coolant and grime I doubt it will come off.

Drill out the remaining steel piece as large as you can, even going into the aluminum if you have to, then re-tap the hole for a brass SAE nipple assembly available at any hardware store.
