Diff identification sought- numbers attached

Hello, I got this diff when I bought my 73 and I am wondering what sort of ratio it is. I've searched but can't find any info. Thsee are the numbers I can locate on it.

33.1 1204 818 3.2 225 on the cover

And on the diff 1201 5260 Gts 35

those are all 'casting' numbers - useless

remove the screws and rear cover and look at the ratio numbers stamped into the larger ring gear - at the same time look for any bearing material or nastyness with the ring/pinion/spyder gears - which

you should do anyway before you install this diff in any car.

Flush it out and reseal the cover - paper gasket required

My diff has the exact same 3 markings as the diff pictured above; is the "5" looking digit the "s" that denotes LSD?

um... try jacking up the rear of the car and counting the number of turns of half shaft to drive shaft. or use the RPM chart in the FAQ section and get a rough gauge based on the rpm charts for different differentials. or take the diff off and crack it open. all depends on how neurotic you want to get with it.

I think the other two numbers (middle and bottom) designate the month and year of assembly. Possibly September (9) of 1974 (4). Not 100% sure without looking in the blue book again to confirm.
