Looking for any thoughts/suggestions/opinions on this 72 offered by 2002AD. On the surface, it looks like a good start. Although, i'm wondering how much the non OG paint will make a difference if I decide to sell the car down the line. Currently I'm looking for a strong daily driver (20 miles a week in So Cal). Not looking for perfect, but an all around solid car.

It's the 72 Dark Blue w/ tan interior half way down the page. I haven't seen the car in person yet - however, the guys at AD are telling me its a strong driver. Anything off the top you guru's can advise a newbie on would be appreciated.

I noticed that car also about 4 months ago when I was in the market. It was listed at $9900. It has sat a while and dropped significantly in price. I did not see it in person, but the pricing and staleness of the offering is a bit of a red flag to me.

I would stay away from 2002ad at all costs. They are not known to be honest salesmen at all. My local mechanic had a tii at his place that an unsuspecting buyer purchased from 2002ad and was told the engine had been "completely rebuilt." The engine failed and the car sat at his shop until he could find someone to buy it who would pay for a full rebuild. My mechanic took the engine apart and said it had no signs of being rebuilt whatsoever. 2002ad had also changed it from verona to black, and the paint job was pretty sloppy.

Interesting. It sounds like all of their sales are on consignment, so I'm wondering if they were misinformed by the seller on what work was performed. Regardless, it seems like AD should have justified the claimed work prior to selling the vehicle.

Either way if I did move on the 72 I would have my own mechanic inspect prior to purchase. Thanks for the information - something to consider if/when making a deal.

If ya got a cop friend or know somebody at the DMV, might be able to track the owner down and give him a offer. Does show the plate #s in a photo.

I used to do business with them before they were sold and moved (years ago)...they used to be great, but after the change up, it seemed a little different. Never went back.
