Yes, you'll have to fab up a retainer ring. Should be fairly easy to do. Possibly find a sturdy (but not too brittle) plastic jar to cut the top off to use as a holder for the shift boot. It could be secured to the trans tunnel with a few aluminum tabs. Pop rivet to the plastic, small sheet matal scres to the trans tunnel.

The short console cars had a round ring in the body. The long console cars have nothing.

I thought that....hmmm.

Did you notice if your adaptors bring the drvr seat any closer to the console/trans tunneL?...

I barely have any room there( between driver seat/right side bolster and console)w/ my Scheel bucket/scheel brkt.

your V1 is not intslld yet.
