Anyone using this? Found at FAQ.

Rebuilding my M10, nothing fancy but replacing most parts.. But I do have a Weber 32/26, replaced my Solex since it didn´t want to play no more a few years ago. Bought as a replacement carb for BMW 2002 and I haven´t changed a thing. As I´m writing I don´t even know what jets I have..

Anyway, anyone using the prescription above? Running Well?

Regards

Ola

That prescribtion has worked well for many on this board, but you may need to make some adjustments if you live significantly above sea level. Let us know the elevation you'll primarily be driving at and we can make suggestion based on that.

I am using CD's prescription. It seems a bit rich, but running well. I am not sure of my mileage, but it seems as though I'm using more gas with these settings. No data to back that up. Anyway, take a look at this:

Well, a few feet abobe, I guess..:) In sweden, southern parts, driving in summertime only, next trip planned (after breaking in) is the Nordscheife. Homeward bound.

Ok, I´ll see what jets I have and replace if necessary before mounting the carb.

Thank you!

I'm bumping this old thread just to note that I rebuilt a spare 32/36 last year based on C.Ds prescription. I actually referenced this thread as well.

I finally got around to installing it a year later on my daily driver this weekend. Wow! What a difference! I know most people look at the 32/36 as the economical fuel efficient street carb, but a freshened up version compared to the tired old one has seriously made me rethink building anything more aggressive (at least for now, anyway)

The new lynx/45 dcoe setup that I have will be getting some more shelf time while I enjoy this rejuvenated "stock" setup for awhile. Certainly not in any rush.

A well tuned and functioning 32/36 should produce a very fun car to drive.

If anyone is contemplating a rebuild, +1 on the prescription posted on the FAQ here.

I am at sea-level and might consider richening up the idle circuit just a touch as my idle mixture screw is out about 2 1/4 turns out in order to hold idle without the speed screw touching. On my setup, the idle speed screw just barely needs to touch the throttle linkage to get up to 900. Which is the goal, I believe.

So dig in, tear it apart, perhaps learn something new and enjoy the results!

Thanks guys

I believe it was moved to the articles section.

Here is a link:

Although it doesn't show the illustration pointing to the hole that needs to be plugged.

Searching for "32/36 Weber Prescription" should bring it up, or someone can maybe add it to the article.
