Cooling system question.

Can anyone one tell me what part #13 is in the diagram below:

It's not listed in the parts list below the diagram in Penske, RealOEM, or here in bmwfans.info. I have these set up for my '75, so maybe they are only for older cars.

I guess that is what it could be but why would it be shown on the cooling system diagram instead of the fuel delivery diagram? I think it may be something different.

The water neck has the other half of that system in it as well. #7 Together they are a $500 kit on realOEM.

that part is a temperature time switch, only for tii. and also no longer available. 61 31 1 354 636. the reason it does not come up by part number, or there is no part number in the diagrams, is because it has been nla for so long that the part numbers have been erased from the system. you can look, but you cant have. and if you no gottee tii, you dont need
