So okay fellow brothers in arms:

After 5 years; ten's of thousands dollars later, tweaking and rebuilding everything, I finally have a car that runs and drives like a champ.

I am getting the wave from Porsche guys as I pass them.

But I digress; Y'All have seen many of my posts on issues etc...All that has been finally worked out. I now have a car that is a real blast to drive. I kind of find it hard not to go the longest route possible just to get more drive time.

I could really use the cash these days.

Question is can I sell for the added-value of the work I have done? Or will I have a bunch of idiosyncratic original number matching doctor/lawyer types giving me crap about not being a factory turbo (even when I list it as a tribute) and thus want to pay the least possible. Is it worth the value of the recipts (not counting my time) or that of a nice tii?

BTW it is a numbers matching car, why even the 5 speed is stamped with the chassis VIN.

nah, don't sell it, it's not a good time to sell cars, either in the year or the economy.

'Course, I am terrible at selling things.

You sold me. ;-)

Yeah I hear ya on the econ. But if one just looks at the recent Dallas Mecum auction one might think there are no issues with the economy.

Texas aint hurting it seems.

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.

Hmm, if we all send you $5 via paypal, you should be ok for a year.

Two running things. Two broken things.

If you sell it, you will have good food for how long? Keep the car, you will not likely be able to replicate it in the future. Work on getting more income some other way. Selling the car will bring you sadness and marginal dollars.

Don't sell it. Trust me on this.

I sold my Schwarz '02 a little over a year ago and still miss it dearly. Even if I could afford to start building one just like it, it would take three times the amount that I sold it for.

Set up shop each weekend and offer turbo rides. Target those kids that are on the quarter rides out in front of the grocery store. Sort of a motorhead-babysitting service.

Scotchguard the interior first.

The beauty of your tribute is you can actually drive it and not worry about it as much a real turbo. I agree with Armond (did I just say that out load?), drive it for a while before thinking about selling it. At least reap the rewards from all the hard work. Looks more like Wolf in Wolf's clothing to me.
