What do they do, just set up shop and snap pictures that day? (similar to what the cops do) Do they set up signs for people to go to a website and see their pics? Or was this a planned event?

I've been on bicycle rides that I was going reverse route of an organized ride. Their ride photographer would usually snap our pics as well. It was funny to go on their site, see all the pics of riders all facing the same way, and there I am in the middle of it facing the opposite way.

Wasn't planned at all, just took a fun detour on our way north. The photographer is there every weekend. It is a very popular section of Mulholland Highway called "the Snake". Seems to have Bicycles, Sport Bikes, Motorcycles of all kinds, and every kind of vehicle possible. Jay Leno is usually found in some exotic or unusual car on some weekends. He could work with the local sheriff. All they need to do is set up the radar. The photographer does the rest. You contact him for your pic, you get the print and a nice notice to come visit the courthouse.

Years back, there was one strecth of Mulholland that was unpaved. The turns had to have been banked at almost 30 degrees. Wonder if it's still that way?

Saturday they took 715 pictures plus another 178 of the cyclists. The CHP patrols quite regularly. You can see them in some of the pictures.

Thanks again Steve for taking us on that drive! One of the most memorable part of the day!

I might be one of those that buys the picture. I saw them and gave the peace sign but maybe they didn't get that shot.
