TURBO FLARE QUESTIONS

hello all,

i am new to this forum.

just bought my first 2002 and i was wondering..

does anyone sell steel turbo flares?

or

fiberglass (frp) or plastic turbo flares with the mounting lip reverse? i.e on the inner part of the flare instead of the top exterior riveted kind?

would prefer steel if they are out there.

Haven't seen any steel Turbo flares either-

even the factory used FRP and fasteners.

It was for the 'fastened' look before it was

trendy on SUV's, I guess.

There are some varieties of flare that can be blended

in to look better, or the fender's (mostly) complete.

But that's a different look.

Now that you mention it, a stamped steel turbo flare would be quite cool.

Moderate body work, and a very smooth, bubble- flare look.

Too bad we don't do that sort of thing in this country any more.

the reason i ask is because i am going to mold the into the quarter panels but its easier wen the mechanical fastener isnt exposed

I've been *very* slowly working on something like this but right now most of my time is going into the roof rack project.

some factory turbos had the flares mounted so that it would look like they're not screwed on, more like molded into the fenders without a visible gap

i'd be first in line for metal turbo flares lol.

i guess im goping to have to bond them instead of mechanical fasteners to get a cleaner look
