Guest Anonymous
is the day somebody bolts an e30 iX transfer case and AWD system into an '02 along with the usual m20 bits and makes it work. Shafts through the pan and all. 'Course, the car'd have to be so gutted to make it fit it'd barely be an '02 at all... but it's still a cool idea. Please, somebody do this. Then let me drive it. Guest Anonymous
I have been thinking about this for a while. The only problems I can see are the front sub frame, and the steering box. But this is years down the road. But Hopefully some day there might be an awd 2002 on the road. Andy Rattley
Guest Anonymous
and mount a 2002 shell on it, minus subframes. That would be cool! I've seen several cars done this way, a VW Thing (Way Cool!), VW Beetle, VW Jetta, Ford Falcon Ranchero, and a Subaru Brat. Probably some others I can't remember, but you get the idea! Bret. Guest Anonymous
to me, I parked my 02 next to WRX's at work a lot, and I would say the wheelbase is damn close! Wonder if there is a way to incorporate the two???
Guest Anonymous
be to cut an E-30ix body off at the rockers, shorten and reinforce the pan, cut the pan out of an '02 and splice the two together. Would undoubtedly require fender flares, since the E30's track is noticably wider than an '02's - whole lotta work.......
