Just received my new clutch kit. Disk looks good (well, better than the one I took out).

Pressure plate is a bit different from the one I removed. Much less material in the cover due to many slots/holes & very slightly thinner steel. Is this an improvement, or just a cost thing? Any advantage to the reduced weight?

Just doesn't look like the same quality piece as the one I removed.

TIA

Nate

My experience with Sachs clutch assemblies is never had to replace one, (so all my cars eventually wound up with one)very smooth operation. The sense of driving a 2002 is in all the small nice feedback you get and clutch operation is one of them.
