i have some NK things i am trying to figure out......thanks for any help.

- bumper brackets.....the oval rubber surround......still in production ?

same or different as a 2002 ? (car is not with me so i can't look)

- was the side view mirror placement varied from the factory ?

as i see quite a few all the way to the front of the door where

it meets the hood. and then i see varied positions as well.

- did certain models have the all black gauges ? or did these very as well ?

- trunk lid / badges......mine has the bmw roundel and 1600 together on the left side / facing. but there are two factory drilled holes on the right side as well.....what might have gone there ? i have not found anything looking through different pics, etc.

- has anyone dropped in another rear end...... other than an e9 ?

The '02 versions of the rubber bumper bracket seals are quite different and won't work; according to realoem.com the 1600 takes the same smaller and NLA rubber seals as the 2000.

Bumper gaskets for NK different, of course, from 2002. They follow the profile of the nose, so they have a little angle to them.

Mirrors I have seen are always on the leading edge of the drivers door. Maybe owners moved them?

Post 68 NK's, with the new style dash, received all-black gauges.

The other holes could have been dealers name thingy?

I don't see the 1600 taking anything other than the longneck diff without a major huckledy-buck.
