Here's the clean up on the engine bay:

1.

-old driver side, look at the mess of wires along the top of the fender

-new driver side, still need to re-route engine ground from strut tower; new engine ground from battery; and a new power wire from battery to starter, routed differently

Today I repaired the blinkers and removed under hood sound deadening, which was damaged beyond repair. It dropped about 10lbs off the hood.

Still have to clean up the leftovers.

The car keeps blowing a fuse for the right tail light and interior lights. Starting to get irritated with the issue.

Also, getting ready to tackle the blinker stalk to try and get the windshield washer system going again.

today:

adjusted headlights to useable locations | up from the ground

tightened the rear suspension | bolts loose everywhere

pulled apart the steering column to find out that the horn is not connected and the retaining ring is broken and then the wiper/blinker stalk's wires are looking real shitty and probably why the windshield washer controls don't work

new hardware to mount the driver seat

repaired the tachometer

new license plate came in, so I mounted it

Still hunting down why my right tail light/right blinkers/interior lights keep blowing a fuse intermittently.

still haven't been able to fix the blinker/right tail light/interior light issue. I am 99% sure it's due to the blinker stalk shorting things out. Dealer ordered the wrong part, so I'm still hunting down the issue while I wait.

Found out the rear bumper is being held on by 3 bolts (instead of 6). But they are all cross threaded, so I have to figure out how to cut them off without harming the car. I set up an appointment to have an exhaust rebuilt since the one on it keeps falling off the car.

Doing a quick drive with the car Saturday resulted in a blown radiator hose. Luckily it was a standard piece, so I could easily get a replacement and wasn't stranded for very long. Ordered all new radiator hoses.

I cannot wait to get this thing to daily driver status. So much time and money has gone into getting it to this point.

Anybody have a fix for the retaining ring for the horn? Mine is broken and it will not stay connected on the steering column.

Found out the speedo is waaay off. 85mph on the speedo is 73mph GPS. . . and now the speedo bounces all over the place. YouTube is taking forever to process the video. I'll post it up once the video is available.

I tore into the car last night and this is what I found:

Driver side, worn pad is outside:

That was the only pad showing any wear:

Passenger side:

There was blue dyed fluid in the reservoir, and this came out of the front calipers:

I changed the lines on the driver side to SS. But ran out of time to continue with the rest of the car. I sprayed down all other connections with PB to make the rest of the job easy.

When I was pulling the pads on the driver side, I couldn't get the pistons to fully return to their position, even with the bleeder totally removed from the caliper.

I still need to remove the master cylinder to see if there is air in the booster, but I thought that it was odd only one side of the caliper wasn't retracting.
