Need new mechanic--having fuel delivery problems

Hey group, I am in Bethesda and am looking for a new mechanic for my 68 1600. My 1600 sat for several weeks and I am not getting any fuel to the carb although I can hear the fuel pump humming as I turn the key 3/4 so I figure I've got a blockage or crud in the tank that is preventing the fuel delivery.

I have been a loyal customer of a well known independent in Rockville for my newer BMW but had a significant do-over on my 1600 and I don't think I want to take it back there.

Any suggestions for a good and reasonable $$ mechanic in my area?

Thanks.

May be a little bit of a hike for you, but Blue Ridge Sports Cars in Baltimore is good. Phone: 410-662-4746. Couple of 2002s in there and I have had great, honest service there.

Chris,

I am in the Shenandoah Valley, near Massanutten, and I also have a '68 1600, all original, European model.

Good luck with solving your fuel challenge.
