Well, I'm not a kid, and I do have money for good used cylinder heads. But I've purchased nearly a dozen 'good' / 'from running car' heads on the FAQ (which looked a bit better than yours), and at least 2 out of 3 are cracked, corroded or crap.

Absent your willingness to make a sufficient effort, I'll pass. Good luck. -KB

but your username BrightInka, and you call BMW guys cheap and kids. I think on this forum for a couple of months, and I think it is the best forum of guys that I am associated with. Top Notch people in my books. If you change you attitude and post more details, you might have a better reaction.

It'd help if you sounded like a better organized, more trustworthy seller. Your grammar is horrible, and you give all the run-around like a sketchy craigslist seller.

'brightINKA' orginally offered me a rebuilt head for $100 to $200, which I said I could pick up personally on October 16th. A week or two later he re-posted it on the forum for $250. I told him I was still going to get it (this would require that I go 3 to 5 hours out of my way while I was traveling in upstate NY). Then right before I leave for NY, he tells me he's also scheduled to meet a guy in Vermont at 1pm that day, and I had to meet him at some exit that was even further out of my way and even more complicated. I e-mail him when I'm actually in NY and try to confirm details, then its even more run-around of all different exits that I could meet him at, which are way even further out of my way, or will require me getting up way early or staying way late, and so on and so on..... I don't know my way around NY at all, so I'm clueless on most of it. All in all, the poor grammar and sloppy, unreliable style, along with the potential of losing 5 or more hours of my life to a sketchy seller ruined the sale for me.

I've got more than enough cash for a decent head, but I'm not going to get up early to go 3 to 5 hours out of my way for somebody that's likely to not even show up, and/or leave me sitting at a truck stop waiting for hours. I've dealt with Craigslist people before, it's not worth it. I expect better from this forum. The guy never even gave me his home address if I'd rather go there.

So, I told him I'd have to pass due to all the potential frustrations involved in a normally simple sale. Then he re-posted it immediately on the forum, this time with the price jacked to $400. Hah, maybe he was trying to scare me off all along so he could try to get more money for it. Either way, I'm glad I didn't do business with him.

edit: I also apologize to others I've been dealing with lately. I'm still stupidly busy with work, and it seems like I got offers of heads from all over the place. I couldn't keep them all straight, but the one from brightINKA looked like it could've been a great deal. I guess not... not sure why this has to be so difficult.
