Guest Anonymous
a Nardi wood/aluminum wheel now. Personally I don't think it's thick enough and I don't like the transition from wood to aluminum, it's way too sharp. This wheel would be better in a mellower machine with a nuetral interior. Is there a smaller diameter thicker wheel out there that doesn't look like it belongs in a new ricer? And, once I find a wheel this Nardi wheel will be available. Comes with matching shift knob and both are in decent shape... at least a 7 out of 10. Lastly, my car is a '68. Do the hubs and splines vary from period to period, as with the E28 chassis? TIA for your opinion. Ethan
Guest Anonymous
Smaller diameter (e.g 13") will give you quicker response but require more effort to turn than larger wheels (e.g 15"), especially at low speeds and with fat wheels. I have a nice leather-clad 15" Alpina/Momo I might sell trade. Email me if interested and I'll send a pic.
Guest Anonymous
you might consider MOMO" 350mmChamp wheel. Good picture in BIMMER oct '98 p52. I would be interested in the Nardi for my '74 ex-Malaga/tan interior.
Guest Anonymous
and it works great for me. i run 215/50r13 tires and at low speeds or standing still it is tough to turn the wheel. but at autocross speeds it's fine. steve
Guest Anonymous
I run 225/45 13 and it is real tough at a stop to turn but so long as the car is rolling it works great!!!Another plus is that it has a pretty decent grip on it!!!
