Has anyone recieved a email from Rob at 2002haus that had subject cellspacing and no text but 2 attached files or one (I can't remember who sent it) that had the subject BMW 2002 forum? I can't get on the internet and my CPU is running at 100% when there aren't any programs running. Does anyone know where to download a program that will get rid of the virus?

Thanks,

Leif

you need to find out what virus it is first. the emial most probably did not come from rob. Most of new email spread viruses fake the sender address.

Leif, what you have is one of the W32 viruses that has been going around for several years now. All it has to do is somehow transfer itself into someones address book of the email account they use and automatically send new emails to different addresses at random using their address book. Now there are many new versions of the W32 and if you have opened the attachment from the original mail you have received then that is all it takes for itself to corrupt your entire hard drive eventually. See if you can run internet explorer or what you use to log into the net and go to mcafee or norton to do an online check-up for free. I assume you don't have a working virus protection installed on your computer so time for you to buy the newest version. Because you will receive many more in future I assure you and the virus protection will catch it everytime untill you receive the newer version of the W32 but so you keep upgrading.

Once you have run the virus scan it should secure and repair all the infected areas but there can be many sectors that are damaged and so you save all the files you can that are not corrupted or even repaired, then format your hard drive and install everything to have a frsh start or you will never receive the optimum performance of your PC.

Good luck

Rajesh

I received a bogus email purporting to be from Rob and my Norton Virus scan caught the bugger and shut down my puter. I emailed Rob to tell him that someone was either using his email address to do bad things, or that his system may be infected. he checked his system- it was o.k.. There have been a series of similar events over the past few months: someone is using trusted screennames/email addresses among 2002 community and attaching bad stuff to the emails. I am not certain how to rid a system once a bug is inside- I imagine the computer -savvy board contributors will be able to help. Sorry this happened to you too.///

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
