Removing doors and rivets

Very soon I'll be removing both doors from the '73 2002 I'm working on, and re-installing the doors after refinishing of the car is completed. Two questions: 1) What is the best method (and tool) to use in order to remove the existing door stop rivet?, 2) What is the best method to expand the bottom of a new rivet once it is installed in the new door stop? Thanks, Larry

unbolt the hinges (three bolts), don't even bother driving out the hinge pins. Use a dremel or side cutters to clip the door brake pin. New door brake pins drop in from the top and have a cap. You don't need to re-flare them.
