hello folks, I became an '02 owner this weekend pretty much by chance. Prior to this car I've had an e30 and recently bought a grey market euro e24 when this guy came up for sale 15 minutes away from me:

It's got some problems but is overall in pretty solid condition. I'm looking forward to getting more into it, can sense a motor swap in my future :D

I've started up a project thread here with some thoughts on what I've learned so far.

about the title - not sure if this is known or recent, but someone might consider upgrading the phpBB version, looks like you guys have roughly 6 years of security updates and bugfixes to get through...

Read your blog. Absolutely refreshing! A new guy, thoroughly inspected the car, did some research, and has logical intentions and mechanical skills on how to proceed. Keep us posted.

Well, what about your euro E24?

;-)

Cheers,

Ray

Stop reading this! Don't you have anything better to do?? :P
Two running things. Two broken things.

ha ha thanks guys, good to see the r3v baggypants invasion got here before I did. ;)

Ray, it's still in progress. Coilovers are being installed, then I'm doing the interior and bodywork, then driving it for a while (the 02 comes off the road to get motor and suspension work at this point). The motor is old and loose, so at some point it needs to come out and get rebuilt, at which point I'll probably get a bit of headwork done on it and get the tranny rebuilt.

So I guess that means you've finished up the part out of your sedan eh? You still have the bumpers off the touring?

Good to see you've got an '02. Now you need some euro bumpers for the '02.

I'll be at both events with Jaywatch provided we don't kerplode it, Judgebusters will be at Buttonwillow but skipping Infineon.

The Pikachu Subaru is also in our warehouse, as far as I know he'll be at both events.
