I had some tii specialty tools remanufactured and would now like to add a few more to the mix. I'm primarily interested in tii specific tools, but would consider others especially the rear brake adjustment tool that I've heard about, but never have seen one in person.

Any leads would be appreciated! Thanks.

I was contacted through a friend by a company that had acquired some BMW 2002 and 3.0 specific factory tools and manuals after an old dealership closed down. Here is a link to the pictures - the pics are the catalog listing of each tool that they have. I think they're looking to get around 450.00 shipped which I have no idea if that is high or low for these items, but if you want any more info on how to contact them, let me know...

Rear brake adjustment wrench.

My "new" 1958 Mercedes came with one in the tool kit, I'm going to see if it fits the 2002 (both use ATE drum brakes) and if so, I have something we can copy.

I have one of the original HAZET rear brake adjustment tools.

Maybe these measurements will be helpful.

Open end is 17mm. From the oposite end to the 45º bend is 140mm, the length of the 45º section is 80mm, and from there to the end (where the 17mm opening is) is another 45mm. The bend near the 17mm open-end is much sharper the the bend down in the middle. Overall length is 225mm.

The HAZET tool # is 4372-17, and was made in W. Germany, which dates it a little.

Hope this helps. I think there'd be a real market for these, if the price is reasonable.

Napes--I've been meaning to get a rear brake wrench for some time. It will cost me now since Samstag carries a Sauer 6134020 (17mm) for $59. Maybe get a combo wrench and try to bend it with a little heat?

nbcbird: I think a number of people have done that. Might want to get a longer than standard wrench if you can, because, ideally, you want to start with one 265-270mm long (10½"). You can then use my prescription. A standard Craftsman 17mm combo is a little less than 9" overall.
