Here's ya' a nice clean set of Vitaloni Mirrors. These ARE NOT the baby models though. These are actually a little bit bigger. What's nice about this pair is that unlike the backs of the Baby model, the backs on these are actually metal. So get none of that "drying out / flaking" issue that you get on the Baby Vitaloni's.

A very nice mirror upgrade, I think.

I'd like to get $45.00 for this set, including shipping.

Thanks,

Ken (seeniespop@yahoo.com)

Just curious...

You say the mirrors are metal and not plastic. Are you referring to the housing itself or the mirror backing? I'm not sure I have ever seen those made from metal. I had a set on my old VW that I purchased new from Electrodyne in the '80's -the housing was made from plastic but the mounting base was a casting.

The actual backs of the mirrors are metal. The frame (or surround) portion is plastic. The bases too, as made of metal casting, as you say.

The Baby Vitaloni's are pretty much all plastic, save for the base.

After a few years in the sun, the backs of the Baby's tend to dry out big time and flake (brush-off) pretty easy. :-(

That's not to say they're bad mirrors. I like the Baby's too. I just feel that if you're going to go with the Baby's, you should probably paint (them) in effort to preserve them.

But.. I reckon' anyone can do whatever they want. :-)

Thanks for the clarification. IMO, the Baby Turbo mirrors were funky looking and much cheaper than the Toronado's. Good luck with the sale. Another trip down memory lane for me.
