Guest Anonymous
Does it only happen when it's in gear or can you duplicate it in your driveway by running up the rpms?

Guest Anonymous
that is what i hear from my 2.2L - a rattling sound, especially under load. It has been diagnosed as a main rod bearing that is going out. I hope your sound is from something else- could be lots of things ... hopefully just some sort of sympathetic vibration sound, or just a non-internal loose part. I hope you dont have a bearing going, that will be a royal PITA.///
Guest Anonymous
the way to test for this is to REV THE SHIT out of the engine... if it gets dramtically worse, then you know its coming apart!! (ask me how i know ;p) -Rob
