Is this one worth saving? Rusty water and scale... car is running warmish.

Not sure if I could flush it a few times or just buy another...

yes -

remove it,

take to RADIATOR SHOP,

ask for "rodding out" "boiling'

"pressure testing" and from those results

they will advise you if it's servicable, or if it needs

recoring - and then they will use the industry standard

'double' core with your original top and botton 'tanks'.

ask your radiator shop if he can get a RADAC 26 or equivalent. It's a 3 row core that will fit your top and bottom tanks--no thicker than the stock 2 row core, just more tubes. That equals more cooling power--kinda important in Austin!

+1 on the 3-row core. now's the time to do it since it's running warm and you have to take the radiator out of the car anyway

If you're contemplating the 240 rad, also look at the 320 radiator.

Cheap, light, works fine. And the bracketry is pretty straightforward.

But you do have to get all the hoses from the 320, including

the little bent thermostat attachment stubby hose.

it works for me...
