They look too pristine to be original...or, they look a helluva lot better than my 1988 E30M3 seats do now. I should paste your pic up in my garage so I know how my seats are supposed to look.

The mounting on the E30 seats is pretty straight forward. The four stock bolts point upwards out of the floor. The seat sits on top of those and is nutted in place. You would probably have to make an adapter plate out of some barstock to make up the difference in the width. I'm not sure about the height.
