Ok so my car is completely stripped just need to pull the harness, everything is disconnected except a couple wired going to the heater box, but thats not a problem right now, I need to know how to gt this harness out. I searched and i found this link:

http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/p,342150/highlight,/sid,c1697d7aea26141d52a3925dc8e2ac0b/

that all i could find on the subject. I have a 76 and I can not seem to find where the hell these two harnesses (body and engine) are connected. and I have hit a roadblock in removing it, I have a Huge Y shaped chunk of wire on the body side that is not getting through that hole at all, and a couple Relay plug on the engine side that are also to big to fit through.

Someone has to know how to pull this in one piece without cutting. I really want to have this thing out by friday morning.

i thought those were the connections but they seemed to run through the whole harness, either way I saved myself a lot of trouble but just snipping a few wires leading to the fuse box since im going to relocate it anyway. later on ill see if i can, follow the wires to where they go. thanks though

I don't know but I am so grateful the guy who painted my car didn't pull the harness all of the way out. He had taken everything loose to the point the OP was at, coiled the harness up on each side of the firewall and did the paintwork. The tape is pretty ratty right at the firewall but I have had a real easy time hooking things back up. Oh great! Did I just jinx myself?
