So I got this car back in april and drove it around for a few weeks, it was my first car and I saved up for it and bought it. However I was being an idiot one night on a dirt road, lost control, and drove through a wooden fence and into a tree. I was beyond upset and when the insurance company told me I would only get 3500 to fix it or 4000 and they scrap it. I didn't know what to do. I was getting quotes to fix it for a lot more than 3500 so I decided...Hmm I guess I could fix it. So i ask for the repair money and had the car dropped off in my driveway. Day by day, piece by piece I slowly started to make the car better, I removed all the bent metal and stuff and began to rebuild. (Keep in mind I was only 16). I found a fender and hood on craigslist. I was able to bend the nose back. I might have gotten 50 boxes from Bavarian Autosport. Boxes were showing up everyday. And of course, I drove the car during the whole process once I installed a new radiator :P But even before that, I got the car running without a radiator (Yes I know this is bad) and took it for a victory lap up my street without a hood. I eventually picked up the fender and hood and once i got that on, I installed a new headlight/grill/kidneys and all that jazz. But of course, I couldn't just make the 2002 the way it was. I ordered Bilstein sports, new bushings, bav auto springs, slotted rotors, new calipers and pads, an oil PSI gauge. I did everything myself, I installed everything...of course having a mechanic check it over once i finish :) When I dropped the car off at my friends shop, it looked like a jaw breaker, a rainbow of bondo and different color paints. The day my friend sent me a picture of the car all painted and ready, I didn't even recognize it. I've come to realize what an amazing little car this is, and how much I love these cars. I also learned to not drive the thing like an idiot. Now I am on my quest to make this car the ultimate street 2002. The car has so much potential and I have no idea where to go but I can assure you all it is going to be awesome.
