I recently replaced a cracked head on my 320i .

i am having trouble putting the accelerator linkage

back together . one cable comes in on drivers side,

the other from passenger side. (PICS ATTACHED)

Do the 2 cables link together some how ? All the pics and diagrams

ive looked at and none seem to match . Any help ??

isn't one of those cables for cruise control ?

The cable on the driver side is the throttle cable. The one on the passenger side is the kick down cable for the automatic transmission. It should be hooked directly to the transmission on the other end.

My son's car is the same way. (1980 320i)

i was under the car searching for a roque washer , and Eureka !!! i found a clip that goes to thrott link and it all made sense ( that kinda made my day) I picked up 2 fuel inject lines at the wrecking yard. BUT they are braided. so we will see how mixed injectors cables work thanks for a reply
