Guest Anonymous
I just installed an older Cannon intake, set up for a Weber Downdraft. It runs terrible at low RPM, and I can't seem to find any vacuum leaks, all the nuts are tight, and the gaskets are new. When I spray ether near the intake runners, RPMs increase. Any body seen this before, and have any ideas for a fix ? Thanks! Jerry
Guest Anonymous
Hi, that sounds like a problem that plagued me once many years ago. i put a two barrel set up including the manifold onto a head and the motor ran like crap. in the end the problem was that on one of the intake runners of the manifold it had a gasket frozen to it and on the corresponding head port i had put a new gasket. it sounds goofy and was very hard to see but the manifold just wouldn't tighen down with the gasket doubled-up.also check all of the 6mmbolt holes in the manifold because sometimes they are drilled through to the runner inside. good luck stone
