Tii Fuel Lines - Interest

I might be in for two sets IF we can get the ends in yellow zinc.

I'd go for a set or yellow or silver. Wouldn't let the finish queer the deal, though. I have a number of old lines, wonder if I could clean and/or plate the fittings and send them over for attachment to the new lines.

Just wanted to let you guys know, I have contacted the manufacturer in Germany, and will give you an update as soon as I hear from him.

I counted 25 potential sets so far, this should be a good size order.

Good news from Germany, Thomas wants to work with us again.

Price wise, a complete set will be in the Alpina neighborhood ($150), since the process and materials are very similar. Just #1 line will be between $30 and $35. These prices include shipping, assuming an order of at least 30 sets, and today's exchange rate of 1.37 (at the time of the last group buy the rate was 1.33).

He has suggested to first send him pictures of each line, to give him an idea of the locations of bends and fittings.

Next step would be to send him a complete sample set of fuel lines, to help him build the tools. I suggest whoever the volunteer donor may be, to send me the set, and I will forward it - it will of course be returned.

So, please email me good pictures, and whoever has a good set of lines, send me an email, I will give you my address.

I'm in NOCAL and can provide a used set as a sample if necessary. Just let me know.

Thanks Armond. Are your example lines replacements or original? I found the new lines I bought from BMW a few years ago didn't fit as well as the old lines on my car. Shall we try to provide an older sample set that "nests" well and won't need zip ties & heat bending to fit?

I'll dig out my old lines & post a pic.

Hello Nate, yes. they are original.

Now I'm having second thoughts, while the old lines I have looks to be original, I cannot be 100% sure since I'm not the original owner of my Tii. Perhaps its safer to use your sample.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
