Tii Fuel Lines - Interest

Can anyone tell me the fitting type and thread on the lines. Have thought about stainless hard lines, only because the can look pretty nice if bent up well.

I just used my spare set of NOS lines and it's starting to "yellow" already. Your idea could be a very nice option to consider.

I'm in also for a complete set.

I replaced my original lines ~3 years (using the hair dryer method) but kept my original set as a spare.

I'd be willing to supply my old lines as a pattern (assuming I can get them back).

for all you people thinking about just getting #1 line. think again. the last response i got from bmw mobile traditions is that as stock runs out on the rest of the lines, they will ALL be replaced by the straight black ones. and the prices will more than double. so, even if you get just #1, you should get the rest NOW, while bmw still has stock on 2, 3, and 4, and the price is low. but dont be surprised if you get the "updated" pos black ones.

I might be in for two sets IF we can get the ends in yellow zinc.

I'd go for a set or yellow or silver. Wouldn't let the finish queer the deal, though. I have a number of old lines, wonder if I could clean and/or plate the fittings and send them over for attachment to the new lines.

I've been commissioned to restore a rather early US Tii that I'll be collecting parts for in the next few years and need all the originality I can get. Otherwise I'd be more than happy to take a set of these lines with regular silver zinc plated ends.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
